Workshop on Computing among Cells

The workshop covers topics from both computer science and microbiology, with a focus on computation emerging from microbiological units — bacteria, viruses, DNA — interacting with each other.

Topics include, but are not limited to: synthetic biology, bacterial computing, DNA computing, population protocols, Markov chains, modelling with cellular automata, infection models, and evolutionary models.

CELLS’26 is held in Rome, Italy, co-hosted with DISC 2026.
